5 Signs You're Overpaying for Business Wireless

A quick check you can do with your last bill in hand.

  1. You're paying for services no one is using. Lines for former employees, old backup phones, the tablet in a drawer, and add-on features or licenses nobody touches all still bill every month. If you can't name who's using every service, some of them probably aren't being used.

  2. You haven't reviewed your plan since you signed up. Carriers update their business plans and offers regularly, and they rarely move you to a better one on their own. If your plan is a few years old, it may not fit your team anymore.

  3. Your bill has charges you can't explain. Overages, add-on features, and fees you don't remember agreeing to can add up quietly. If you read the bill and still aren't sure what you're paying for, that's a sign.

  4. You're still paying for devices you thought were paid off. Device installments, credits, and promotions can end at different times. It's worth checking that device payments stopped when they should have, and that any promised credits actually showed up.

  5. Your plans don't match how your team actually works. Paying for more data than people use, or not enough so you keep getting overages, both cost you money. So does mixing plans across several accounts or bills.
